"OPG 25 years"

Celebrating 25 years of Electrifying Life

This year we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Ontario Power Generation (OPG). For a quarter century, we have played a vital role in the lives of Ontarians, helping power life’s most important moments with our clean and reliable electricity. Our advancement of key energy projects has also helped power local economies, and our current and future investments will ensure we can electrify life in one generation.

As we look back on all that we have accomplished and how far we have come as a company, we remain energized for what lies ahead. And we’re just getting started.

Key milestones and accomplishments

Take a look through just a few of OPG's major achievements over the last 25 years on our journey to electrify life in one generation.
