Where electrification happens

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and our employees are proud of the role communities are playing in Ontario’s mission to decarbonize. We couldn’t generate our clean power without the support of our host communities and Indigenous partners.

We are also proud to be part of the community – as employees, but also residents. Beyond electricity generation, OPG is proud to be an engaged community member that encourages and supports local organizations and initiatives that help keep our communities strong and healthy. Explore how we support our many partner communities across Ontario.

Acknowledging traditional and treaty territories

OPG respectfully acknowledges that the lands on which its generating stations and other assets are located are within the traditional and treaty territory of many Indigenous Nations and communities.

The Power for Change Program

OPG believes our power can help change the world, and not just by electrifying economies. This program was designed to give back to Ontario and to the communities where we operate, to help build a cleaner, more sustainable future for generations to come.
