Community engagement and partnerships
ION actively engages with First Nations and communities through outreach activities, promoting OPG careers and energy industry opportunities.- OPG partners with Building Trades Unions and suppliers to influence and support apprenticeship programs for Indigenous Peoples and targeted hiring to increase Indigenous representation in the industry.
Employment and training
- ION partners with Kagita Mikam, an Indigenous Employment Agency to provide employment and training services to Indigenous Peoples. Kagita Mikam helps registered clients seeking training or employment to meet their career goals by matching their training needs and employment goals with qualified organizations and employers.
