Join Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and our community partners this March Break for some fun, FREE educational programs.
Whether you are interested in science and technology, wildlife, or learning about safety, the OPG March Break program lineup has something for you.
Some events require pre-registration. Individual registration links are available in the schedule of events below. All other programs are first come, first served, based on capacity limits.

March | Delpark Homes Centre | Whether you prefer splashing in a pool or gliding on the ice, check out our public swimming and skating schedule held in partnership with the City of Pickering and the City of Oshawa. Recommended for all ages. Rink/pool capacities apply. |
March | Kids Safety Village | Explore the Kids Safety Village of Durham Region while learning about safety through fun hands-on activities with our community partners. The village features small buildings, detailed roadways, real traffic lights, and much more! Recommended for all ages. |
March | Pickering Nuclear Information Center | Join Earth Rangers for an experience your family won’t forget. This unique and up-close encounter with the awesome animal ambassadors will leave you educated and inspired to help protect animals in the wild. Registration required. Space is limited. Recommended for all ages. |
March | Clarington Public Library | Light a lightsaber with a plasma ball, make slime through crosslinking polymerization, shoot giant smoke rings with smoke cannons, and see Barbie get a hair-raising experience on the Van Der Graaf generator! Join Junior Einstein’s Science Club for an exciting science show experience! Recommended for all ages. |
