  Central Ontario is home to 20 of our hydroelectric facilities, some of which, like our Sills Island Generating Station, have been part of their community for more than one hundred years.
Eastern Ontario
- Eastern Ontario
  Eastern Ontario is host to one gas-fired generating station and 15 of our hydroelectric generating stations on the St. Lawrence, Ottawa and Madawaska Rivers.
Northeastern Ontario
- Northeastern Ontario
  Northeastern Ontario contains 14 of our hydroelectric stations, including several we built or redeveloped through key partnerships with local Indigenous communities.
Northwestern Ontario
- Northwestern Ontario
  Northwestern Ontario hosts 11 of our hydroelectric stations as well as a former coal generating station that we converted to use biomass as fuel.
Southern Ontario - Durham Region
- Southern Ontario - Durham Region
  The golden horseshoe of Southern Ontario is home to key operations including our Darlington and Pickering nuclear stations in Clarington and Pickering.

  The golden horseshoe of Southern Ontario is home to key operations including our iconic Sir Adam Beck hydroelectric stations in Niagara Falls.

  Southwestern Ontario is host to our NSS - Western Waste Management Facility in Bruce County, our Eugenia hydroelectric station near Meaford, and our Nanticoke Solar Facility on the site of the former Nanticoke coal station.

Ontario Power Generation's (OPG) Power for Change Project was designed to serve our communities across the province. Learn more about each of our four funding pillars, our funding lenses, and see how your organization may align and qualify for one of our grant programs.

Protecting Ontario's nature

Our areas of focus:

Supporting initiatives focused on protecting, restoring, and enhancing Ontario’s biodiversity.
Carbon reduction and removal initiatives, including but not limited to tree, wetland, and grassland planting and restoration, as well as education programs that promote climate resiliency.

Advancing Reconciliation

Our areas of focus:

Enhance social well-being (includes language and cultural initiatives and celebrations) and promotes intergenerational knowledge transfer.
Advance education to employment pathways.
Collaborate and support Indigenous-led programs that protect the environment and support Indigenous environmental priorities.

Supporting strong communities

Our areas of focus:

Supporting the foundation of strong and resilient communities focusing on food, shelter, and mental wellness.
Building community pride and connection through inclusive local events, celebrations, and programming.
Supporting community safety, including local water safety initiatives.

Empowering the next generation

Our areas of focus:

Support education programs, initiatives, and events that address OPG skill and resource gaps (STEM and Skilled Trades) that include wrap-around supports such as mental health support, work clothes, or transportation.
Mentorship, internship, tutoring, after-school programs.
Scholarships and awards.
Energy literacy programming, education and events to support the energy sector’s role in economic growth and building a clean energy future.

The Indigenous Reconciliation funding lens prioritizes the inclusion of Indigenous voices, culturally relevant approaches, and traditional knowledge in program and event development where appropriate.
