Port Hope nuclear discovery centre

See how your power gets made

What to expect

OPG’s new Port Hope Nuclear Discovery Centre provides information on the growing demand for electricity in the province and the potential for new nuclear development at OPG’s Wesleyville site.

Residents can visit to learn more about the potential project and the benefits it could bring to the local community and the Michi Saagiig First Nations of the Williams Treaties. The centre features several engaging and educational exhibits, including an interactive nuclear reactor module and hands-on energy demand forecast simulator. OPG staff are also on hand to help answer questions.
