If it is found that a person who does not meet the eligibility criteria set forth in these Official Rules has submitted an entry, such entry will be deemed invalid and thus, null and void. The Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility requirements at any time without notice. The Sweepstakes is void outside the province of Ontario and wherever else prohibited by law.

Three (3) total prizes (each a “Grand Prize”) are available to be won:

The terms by which the passes may be redeemed are governed by the applicable retailer or service provider. The Sponsor is not responsible for administering or ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of the passes.

Sweepstakes prizes are not exchangeable or transferable. There are no substitutions unless specified by the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to substitute a portion of a Grand Prize with another prize of equal or greater value. Any difference in value between the stated ARV and the actual value of the Grand Prize, if lower, will not be awarded.

  1. Winner Selection and Notification

The Sponsor will select all potential winners in random drawings conducted at the Sponsor’s offices. The Sponsor’s decisions are final.

The potential winners will be notified by the Sponsor at the email and/or phone number provided at the time of entry on or about the Sweepstakes Drawing Date. The Sponsor will make three (3) attempts to contact the potential winners.

If an eligible potential winner cannot be contacted or does not reply, if the prize is declined, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable, then the eligible potential Sweepstakes Grand Prize winner may, in the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, the Sweepstakes Grand Prize winner will forfeit any and all rights to the Sweepstakes Grand Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible Sweepstakes Grand Prize winner in a separate random drawing from the remaining eligible entries submitted and received in accordance with these Official Rules.

No entrant is a Grand Prize winner unless and until the Sponsor officially confirms him/her as a winner in accordance with these Official Rules, even if such person is announced as the winner or an eligible winner.

Before being confirmed as a Grand Prize winner, any and all potential winners are required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility & Liability / Publicity Release form (the Release") and correctly answer a time-limited skill-testing question without any assistance. The skill-testing question may be part of the Release or may be provided separately.

THE SPONSOR’S FAILURE TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF THAT PROVISION.

  1. Disqualification & Termination

By participating in the Sweepstakes, you: (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements; and (ii) agree to be bound by the Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes.

Disqualification: Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to: (i) permanently disqualify from any Sweepstakes any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules; and (ii) withdraw a method of entry if it becomes technically corrupted (including without limitation if a computer virus or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the Sweepstakes). If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to an infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, at any time and without notice, to disqualify any individual who tampers with, or is believed to have tampered with, the entry process, and/or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. Unless the Sponsor cancels, terminates or suspends the Sweepstakes, upon such disqualification, the Grand Prize winner will forfeit any and all rights to the Grand Prize and the Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, will conduct a random drawing and determine the winner from among all eligible entries received at the time of the Sweepstakes termination, less any and all disqualified individual(s).

Termination: The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the Sweepstakes or modify the Official Rules, in whole or in part, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.

If the Sponsor cancels, terminates or suspends the Sweepstakes (e.g., if the OPG Community Power Expo is cancelled for any reason whatsoever), the Grand Prize(s) and any prize portions shall be deemed fulfilled and such prize or prize portions will not be substituted, except in the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion.

  1. Disputes

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants rights and obligations and the Sponsor’s rights and obligations in connection with the Sweepstakes shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the Province of Ontario or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the Province of Ontario and Canada. Except where prohibited, Participants agree that any and all disputes, claims and/or causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded pursuant to the Sweepstakes shall be resolved individually, without resorting to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the Province of Ontario. The remedy for any claim shall be limited to actual damages, and in no event shall any party be entitled to recover punitive, exemplary, consequential or incidental damages, including attorney’s fees or other such related costs of bringing a claim, or to rescind these Official Rules or seek injunctive or any other equitable relief.

THE PARTIES HEREBY WAIVE THEIR RIGHT TO JURY TRIAL WITH RESPECT TO ALL CLAIMS AND ISSUES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES WHETHER SOUNDING IN CONTRACT OR TORT AND INCLUDING ANY CLAIM FOR FRAUDULENT INDUCEMENT THEREOF.
