Last year, OPG released its first-ever Climate Change Plan. Net-Zero News, a new quarterly digital newsletter, will track and update the company's progress as we work to achieve our Plan’s goals to become a net-zero carbon company by 2040 and a catalyst to help the markets where we operate achieve net-zero carbon economies by 2050.

OPG's Climate Change Plan also outlines the pathways and actions that will help us reach these ambitious goals. And on this evolving journey, Net-Zero News will be there each quarter to share our milestones, developments, and profiles of the people helping to make our vision a reality.

In this inaugural issue, we take a closer look at OPG's planned 20-year overhaul of its hydroelectric generating units, provide an update on Canada's first ever Small Modular Reactor project, and share some exciting news on hydrogen development and transit electrification.

In the months and years ahead, we will continue to report our progress as we navigate the road to net-zero. We hope you enjoy this first issue.
