Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are an important part of OPG’s strategy to ensure our commitments are met, evaluate performance against plan and guide our decision-making regarding any necessary course adjustments.

Worker safety performance improved overall in December 2017. The Safety Stand Down in November and associated measures put in place contributed to the improvement in safety performance.

Since Unit 2 Breaker Open, Oct. 14, 2016, the team has safely worked 6.5 million hours on all nuclear refurbishment projects without a lost time accident.

The End Fitting Removal series continued in December, and the Pressure Tube Removal series commenced on Jan. 21.

Unit 2 refurbishment costs were $33 Million below plan.
