About OPG’s Nuclear Generating Stations
Ontario Power Generation owns and operates the Pickering and Darlington Nuclear Generating Stations. The two stations have a combined generating capacity of about 4,850 megawatts with Darlington Unit 1 and Unit 4 currently being refurbished. Accounting for 19.1 per cent of the electricity produced in Ontario in Q2, OPG’s nuclear units generated 7.3 terawatt hours.
