OPG is deeply committed to the safety of its workers, young and old alike. We make absolutely sure that our young workers have the skills and training they need to perform their jobs safely and require our experienced workers to take regular safety training courses.

In 2007, OPG received the Canadian Electricity Association’s Silver President’s Award of Excellence in recognition of two consecutive years of top quartile employee safety performance.
