Safety at OPG
OPG is committed to achieving excellent safety performance with an ultimate goal of zero injuries. Our primary objective is to achieve excellence in employee, contractor, and public safety through a corporate commitment to safety. This includes the implementation of targeted risk mitigation programs and formal safety management systems across the company.
Public safety is also an important part of OPG's safety program. To elevate awareness of the potential dangers around dams, hydroelectric stations and surrounding waterways, our staff work closely with partners in site communities. Radio advertisements, newspapers and magazine describe the need to stay clear of hydroelectric sites.
