OPG is currently constructing the Niagara Tunnel which will further increase the output from the Sir Adam Beck complex by 14%.
Between 1996 and 2005 OPG completed a major upgrade at the Sir Adam Beck II Generating Station, increasing its potential capacity by 194 megawatts. Water delivered by the Niagara Tunnel will complement the upgrade and greatly increase the efficient use of the power of the Niagara River.
