ONTARIO POWER GENERATION'S PICKERING UNIT 1 OFF-LINE FOR SHORT MAINTENANCE OPERATION

[Pickering]: Ontario Power Generation's Pickering Unit 1 was safely taken off-line on Sunday, June 18 to inspect and maintain a service water valve in the moderator system.

Pickering Units 4, 5, 6 and 7 continue to operate at high power, delivering about 2,040 MW of electricity to the Ontario electricity grid. Unit 8 is in the process of returning to service from its maintenance outage.
