[Pickering]: Ontario Power Generation's Pickering Unit 6 was safely shut down on Wednesday, December 20 to perform inspections and possible maintenance on the Unit's steam generators - part of the conventional side of the plant.

Pickering Units 1, 5and 8 are operating at or near full power.
