[Clarington]: Ontario Power Generation's Darlington Unit 1 was safely shut down on Tuesday, December 19 to perform inspections and possible maintenance on the Unit's turbine generator - part of the conventional side of the plant.

Darlington Units 2, 3 and 4 are operating at or near full power.
