Do you get questions from friends and neighbours about OPG initiatives? Here are some quick facts you can share with them on OPG's rate increase application.

1. OPG is asking the Ontario Energy Board for a 14.8% rate increase for its regulated generating stations - Pickering, Darlington, Saunders and the Niagara Plants. If approved this would increase the monthly bill for the average residential consumer by 3%.

2. This would be OPG's first rate increase for these stations since the government first set their rates in 2005.

3. The rate increase will help OPG continue to improve the performance of these stations, as well as to develop more nuclear and hyro generation which Ontario needs.

GOOD TO KNOW

Since the Spring of 2000 OPG has planted 2.5 million native trees across Ontario.
