In the Community
OPG’s Ottawa/St. Lawrence Plant Group (PG) has been a part of the local community for almost a century.
We are committed to making a difference, and have supported 175 not-for-profit initiatives in Cornwall, Arnprior, Renfrew, Deep River, Mattawa and surrounding areas.
An important focus for the Ottawa/St. Lawrence PG is on water safety. We also proudly support local not-for-profits like the Canadian Recreational Canoeing Association that share the same focus on water safety.
OPG has 36 hydroelectric stations situated on waterways in Ontario, and we take pride in operating those facilities safely. It’s important for people in the area to always be aware of the risks near our dams and stations, and heed warning signs, booms, buoys and barriers.
