A local family examines display panels at a Pickering Nuclear Community Information Session

In October, OPG will host a series of community information sessions in Scarborough and Pickering.

OPG staff will be on hand to share information on all aspects of operations at Pickering Nuclear and to answer questions. Representatives from the Durham Region Emergency Management Office, Durham Health Department, City of Toronto Emergency Management Office and the office of Fire Marshal and Emergency Management will also be available to provide information and answer questions about their role in emergency planning and preparedness. A site representative from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission will share information about the federal regulator’s role.
