Lennox Generating Station in the community

OPG's Lennox Generating Station (GS) is located on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario in the Town of Greater Napanee, and has been a proud and engaged member of the community for more than 35 years. Lennox GS strives to make a difference and help improve the well-being of the communities that host its operations. We believe this is essential to being a good corporate citizen and neighbour. Lennox GS through the Corporate Citizenship Program (CCP) provides (charitable, not-for-profit) support to over 45 grass roots community initiatives on average annually in Lennox and Addington.
Lennox GS’s community partnerships focus on the areas of:

  • Environment
  • Education, and community (health and safety, arts and culture, youth amateur sport, humanitarian and local causes)
  • As well as support for Indigenous initiatives.
Lennox GS’s community partnerships are diverse and include support of: Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Science Fair, Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre, Prince Edward County Bird Observatory, Ontario Special Olympics – Kingston, the Loyalist Minor Soccer Association, Napanee Canada Day Celebrations, St. Lawrence Parks - Fort Henry Sunset Ceremonies, student awards, along with numerous other initiatives.
