Regulatory Affairs

The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) regulates Ontario Power Generation as well as other industry participants in the electricity and natural gas sectors in Ontario. The OEB licenses OPG's generation as well as other activities and will establish the payment amounts for the output of OPG's prescribed generating facilities (after April 1, 2008).

OPG's prescribed generating facilities are the nuclear generating stations (Pickering A, Pickering B and Darlington), the Niagara Plant Group (De Cew Falls I, De Cew Falls II, Sir Adam Beck I, Sir Adam Beck II, Sir Adam Beck Pump Generating Station) and R.H. Saunders hydroelectric generating station.
