Our host communities

The heart of our clean power

To generate more than half of Ontario’s electricity, our employees live and work all over the province. Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is invested in these host communities for the long haul. They are not just places where we make power to support electrification. This is where our employees are putting down roots – and helping to build our sustainable, electric future.

Acknowledging traditional and treaty territories

OPG respectfully acknowledges that the lands on which its generating stations and other assets are located are within the traditional and treaty territory of many Indigenous Nations and communities.

The Power for Change Program

OPG believes our power can help change the world, and not just by electrifying economies. This program was designed to give back to Ontario and to the communities where we operate, to help build a cleaner, more sustainable future for generations to come.
